Ad Will Run in New York, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and New Hampshire over August Recess Urging a Fall Vote on Antitrust Bills to Rein In Big Tech
Today, Accountable Tech announced a multi-state TV ad-buy urging the Senate to pass the American Innovation and Choice Online Act (AICOA) and the Open App Markets Act (OAMA) this fall. The TV ad – which will air during the Senate’s August recess in New York, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and New Hampshire – slams Big Tech’s inflation profiteering and monopoly abuses, underscoring that antitrust legislation will drive down costs for working families and small businesses.
The ad campaign will target viewers who have been exposed to misleading industry ads as part of Big Tech’s $100 million spending spree to tank this legislation and preserve their obscene profits. By selling the antitrust bills as an opportunity to continue taking direct aim at the corporate greed Americans overwhelmingly blame for painful inflation – and to deliver another cost-saving victory for everyday Americans – the ad campaign aims to build political momentum for Leader Schumer to bring the legislation to the floor this fall.

Alongside the ad, Accountable Tech is publishing a new memo that fleshes out the political salience of passing these bills on the heels of the Inflation Reduction Act, which would equip Democrats with a compelling economic vision and record to tout this fall as Americans struggle to cope with rising costs.
