$50,000 Digital Ad Buy Thanks Leaders of Bipartisan Antitrust Package, Urges Key Democrats on Committee to Get on Board

Today, Accountable Tech is launching a new $50,000 ad campaign supporting the House Judiciary Committee’s bipartisan legislative package to rein in Big Tech ahead of Wednesday’s markup. The ads thank original co-sponsors of these critical bills for their leadership, and urge key Democrats on the committee to get on board with the historic legislation.

The digital ads will run in D.C. and in the Members’ Congressional Districts to ensure their constituents know whether they are fighting for consumers and small businesses that suffer from Big Tech’s abuses, or have yet to take a stand.

“For too long, government has turned a blind eye while a handful of tech giants have exploited their gatekeeper status to rig marketplaces, crush rivals, and manipulate public discourse to maximize their obscene profits. Without competition or accountability, these dominant platforms have no incentive to stop amplifying disinformation or ripping off small businesses,” said Jesse Lehrich, co-founder of Accountable Tech. “Congress must check Big Tech’s power before it further erodes our democracy.”

Below is the full list of targets, and sample creative for ads from each category.
