Accountable Tech Co-Founder and Executive Director Nicole Gill issued the following statement:

“We’re thrilled to see Vermont leading the way in cementing standards that prioritize children’s privacy and safety online by design. Today’s passage of Vermont’s Age Appropriate Design Code marks significant progress in the fight against Big Tech’s toxic business model, and confirms that state leaders can stand up to Big Tech’s influence and defend the best interests of their communities. We implore Governor Scott to uphold his commitment to this legislation and young Vermonters across the state by signing this bill into law.”
